Welcome to the Towers Library
at
St. Andrew's College
The Towers Library is named for
Graham Towers, the first Governor of The Bank of Canada
and a long-time member of the Board of Governors of the school. The Towers Library is at the
heart of the educational experience of St. Andrew’s students.
Our mission: to inspire the love of reading, to encourage life long
learning
and to help students
develop excellent library and information skills.
"...effective school library programs help to promote the
development of information
literacy skills among all students by supporting and coordinating the
collaborative planning and implementation of reading programs, inquiry and
research tasks, and independent study."
The Ministry of Education: "Program Planning and
Assessment Document"

librarys state of
the art computer and
on-line resources and the assistance of the library staff and
faculty,
provide students with access
to many sources of information vital for their continuing
success into the future.
