Annual Headmaster’s Parade 2009

This year’s Headmaster’s Parade was of particular importance as it was the final parade for retiring Headmaster, Mr. Staunton. Despite some inclement weather earlier in the day, the call was made to hold an outdoor parade and fortunately St. Andrew took care of us and the rain held off. Headmaster Staunton was joined on the reviewing platform by Mr. Kevin McHenry, Mr. Gary Godkin, Mr. Courtenay Shrimpton and LCol Len Whines. The day was highlighted by the presentation of fifty four Cadet service medals for Cadets that had served for four or more years in the Corps. Mr. Staunton passed on some kind words of encouragement for the upcoming events and reminded the Cadets to tighten up the belts and shine their buttons for next Sunday’s annual Cadet Inspection. c/LCol Whitfield presented Headmaster Staunton with a small gift of thanks for his tremendous support over the last twelve years. In proper military tradition, the Corps removed their head dress and gave a rousing “three cheers” for the outgoing Headmaster.

Check our Corps Calendar for the date of the next Headmaster's Parade.
