Andreans Who Served in the United States Army

The US declared war on Germany on April 6, 1917. The United States Army was under the command of General John J. Pershing (see photo at right).

By the end of the Meuse-Argonne offensive in the fall of 1918, there were 1.3 millions American troops on French soil that were in the front or heading to it.
