Pilot Officer William D. King
SAC 1936-1937

C/39823 Pilot Officer William David King was the son of William Charles and Esther H. King, of Aurora, the brother of Warrant Officer Class II Perry King (who also died in the war) and husband of Jean M. King, of Shanty Bay. He attended St. Andrew's College from 1936 to 1937.

He served in the Royal Canadian Air Force and died at Camp Borden as a result of a flying accident on December 12, 1943 at the age of 24. He is buried in the Aurora Cemetery, Ontario, Canada (Grave Reference: Lot S. 109. Sec. A.)

Together with his brother, he is remembered at St. Andrew's College with The King Memorial Trophy
which is presented to the boy living in Macdonald House who most excels in studies, games, deportment and character.
