Captain David Moffatt Dunlap attended St. Andrew’s College from 1920 to 1927 and was a member of the 1926 Championship football team. Dunlap joined the Board of Governors in 1936 and would stay for 20 years.

He served overseas with the Royal Canadian Artillery during WW2 and was mentioned for gallantry for saving his artillery battery when it came under friendly fire.

He died in 1957 at 47 years of age. He was the first in a long line of Dunlaps to attend St. Andrew’s and the school’s main building is named after his father who was a major contributor.
