Lieutenant Allen Oliver, MC

Lieutenant Allen Oliver was born on March 15, 1893, the son of Frank and Harriet Oliver (nee Dunlop), of Edmonton, Alberta. He attended St. Andrew's College from 1905 to 1909.

When he enlisted on August 7, 1915, he had previous service with the Ammo Column of the 8th Brigade, Canadian Field Artillery. He was serving with the 26th Battery, 7th Brigade, Canadian Field Artillery when he was killed in action on November 18, 1916 at the age of 23 years. 

He is buried at the Bapaume Post Military Cemetery, France (Grave Reference: I. B. 9.)
