Lieutenant Henry L. Nicol
SAC 1909-1911

Lieutenant Henry Ladds Nicol was the son of William Lawson Nicol and Ellen Nicol, of 2014 13th Avenue West, Vancouver, British Columbia. He attended St. Andrew's College from 1909 to 1911. 

He was serving in Lord Strathcona's Horse (as an Acting Major according to the 1919 Review) when he was killed in action on April 1st, 1918 at the age of 26 years.

As he has no known grave, he is commemorated on the Vimy Memorial, France. Inscribed on the ramparts of the Vimy Memorial are the names of over 11,000 Canadian soldiers who were posted as "missing, presumed dead" in France.
