Lieutenant C.C.S. Montgomery

Lieutenant Clark Cainforth Stitzel Montgomery was April 19, 1895, the son of Major Robert Oliver Montgomery, formerly of Toronto, Ontario, now of Vancouver, British Columbia, and the late Elizabeth Janet Clark. He attended St. Andrew's College in 1907.

Montgomery joined the 50th Regiment, Gordon Highlanders of Canada as a Lieutenant, in September 1914 and later transferred to 67th Battalion, (British Columbia Regiment) Canadian Expeditionary Force, 1915. [The 1919 Review lists him serving with the RAF.]

He was killed in action on August 14th, 1917 at age 22 and is buried in Longuenesse (St Omer) Souvenir Cemetery, France (Grave Reference: IV. D. 27.)
