Lieutenant J. G. Douglas
SAC 1904-1907

Lieutenant John Gordon Douglas, was born in Sarnia, Ontario on September 3, 1899, son of John Cameron and Susan Barwick Douglas, Toronto, Ontario, attended St. Andrew's College from 1904 to 1907. He had one sister and three brothers.

He enlisted with the 19th Battalion but later won his commission and served with the 7th Battalion, Seaforth Highlanders. Brothers James and William were both gunners serving overseas and Kenneth also enlisted in the 19th Battalion.

John was killed in action on April 12th, 1918 aged 29, and is buried at Voormezeele Enclosures No.1 & 2, Ieper, Belgium (Grave  Number: I. L. 59.)
