Philip H. Day
SAC Master 1989-1994

Phil joined the faculty of St. Andrew’s College in 1989 with boundless energy, resolve and commitment.

A graduate of the University of Cardiff Wales and the University of Toronto, he spent three years with the Royal Welsh Fusiliers and taught French in England and Toronto, including Appleby College before joining S.A.C.  He retired in 1994. He will be remembered for his love of languages, rugby, travel and music.

Phil died aged 76, on January 2, 2005 after a long illness. He is survived by his wife Sheryl, son Nigel and daughter Nicola and their children.
