"The Best Company Award is the most prestigious award granted at today’s Inspection. It is granted to an entire Company that has demonstrated outstanding effort, loyalty and dedication to the Corps during  training and in the parade preparations. Points are awarded for successful training levels, musician qualifications, fitness awards achieved, optional program participation and excellence on the parade square. The efforts have moved above and beyond the regular Parade practices and students are now seen wearing the uniforms regularly during the day with their rank insignia on their Cadet sweater.

The qualities endeared in the award have been exemplified by our outgoing Chairman of the Board, Mr Brian Armstrong. Mr Armstrong, an old boy from the Class of 1961 and former Cadet Captain of the Corps has dedicated 29 years service to the Board of Governors of the College, the last nine as Chairman. His leadership has changed the face of the College and it is highlighted with the implementation of the Campus Master Plan. It is with great pleasure that in 2005, our 100^th year, we dedicate the Award for the Best Company to Mr. Armstrong."
