Major J. M. Shapley, MD, CM, FRCC
SAC 1928-1933

Major Dr. James M. Shapley attended St. Andrew's College from 1928 to 1933 and was a Librarian, Editor of the Review, a Lieutenant in the Cadet Corps, a Prefect and a member of First Rugby.

Following graduation from Medicine at Queen's University in 1939, Jim was on staff at Christie Street Hospital in Toronto and served as a Major in the Royal Canadian Army Medical Corps during World War II.

Following the war he went into private practice, later working for the Department of Veteran's Affairs. Until his retirement in 1979, he was a member of the Faculty of the University of Toronto. He also served on the SAC Association Council for several years.

Jim died on March 19, 1993.
