John C. Snelgrove
Captain John Cecil Snelgrove was born in Toronto, Ontario on June 4, 1890, son of Isabel Snelgrove of 105 Carlton St, Toronto. He attended St. Andrew's College from 1904 to 1907.
He was selling bonds and had served in the 23rd Regiment (Militia) when he enlisted with the 75th Battalion of the Canadian Expeditionary Force in Toronto on January 29, 1916.
The 1919 Review indicates that he was with the Royal Air Force so he may well have transferred later in the war as many others also did. He probably died after the publication of the June 1919 issue of The Review as he was not listed as a casualty at that time. His burial location is yet to be determined.
