Lieutenant David W. MacKeen
SAC 1907-1912

Lieutenant David Whitney MacKeen was the son of former Lieutenant Governor David MacKeen and the younger brother of Lieutenant Colonel Henry Poole MacKeen ’10 and spent five years at St. Andrew’s College from 1907 to 1912.

During the war he served as a Lieutenant in the 273rd Heavy Siege Battery, Canadian Field Artillery.

Upon returning to civilian life he became a successful businessman and a life-long friend of the future Prime Minister, Lester Pearson. On August 26, 1936 he was injured along with his family in a boating accident.

He was the husband of Mary and father of Rosemary, Marjorie and David and died in 1978 at the age of 84.
