Lieutenant George H. Campbell
SAC 1908-1911

Lieutenant George Henderson Campbell was born May 18, 1893 in Halifax, Nova Scotia, the only son of George H. & Helen K. Campbell, Halifax, NS. He attended St. Andrew's College from 1908-1911.

He was a student when he enlisted in the Canadian Expeditionary Force, C Coy, 1st Canadian Pioneers on August 31, 1915. He claimed previous militia service with the  63rd Regiment (1914-15).

He was killed in action at Ypres on May 16th, 1916 at age 23 and is buried in Poperinghe New Military Cemetery, Belgium (Grave Reference: I. C. 36.)
