Lieutenant Paul Herrick Bigwood

Paul Herrick BigwoodLieutenant Paul Herrick Bigwood was born Bay City Michigan, USA in 1894, son of William E. & Cora Bigwood, Toronto, Ontario. He attended St. Andrew's College from 1906 to 1909.

He enrolled in the 162nd Battalion of the Canadian Expeditionary Force on April 10, 1916 and was later attached to the 57th Squadron, Royal Flying Corps. At the time of his attestation he indicated previous militia service with the 23rd Regiment and was employed at the time as a clerk.

He was killed in action on June 21st, 1917, aged 23 and is buried in Poperinghe New Military Cemetery, Belgium (Grave Reference: II. F. 17. )
